Carlos Porrata worked for 30 years as a California State Park Ranger, learning about and sharing the natural and cultural history of the parks. Today he continues to share his observations of the natural world as a wildlife photographer based in Inverness, California.
Often seen on trails or along the side of the road capturing moments in time, Carlos achieves crystal-clear shots of wildlife in their natural settings. Spending hours in the wild gives him a great deal of pleasure, and he exhibits that enthusiasm through his passion for photography. Many of his images have appeared in local and national publications, on a regular basis in the Point Reyes Light newspaper, organizations in the Bay Area and National and State Parks.
