Mondays/Lunes
Ballet at The Palace

Registration/Inscripción

Move and learn through the classic art of ballet! We will combine creativity, play, stretching, strength building and musicality using the language of ballet. We offer a Ballet class for children ages 3-5 and for ages 6-9. Instructor Bridget Bartholome has been teaching young children for decades and is thrilled to offer a class in West Marin.

Ballet for 3-5 year olds: Mondays 4:00-4:45pm
Ballet for 6-9 year olds:
 Mondays 5:00-5:45pm

¡Muévete y aprende a través del arte clásico del ballet! Combinaremos creatividad, juego, estiramientos, fortalecimiento y musicalidad utilizando el lenguaje del ballet. Ofrecemos una clase de ballet para niños de 3 a 5 años y para niños de 6 a 9 años. La instructora Bridget Bartholome ha estado enseñando a niños pequeños durante décadas y está emocionada de ofrecer una clase en West Marin.

Ballet para niños de 3 a 5 años: Lunes de 4:00 a 4:45 p.m.

Aikido with Ruth Lopez

Aikido is the only martial art that seeks to resolve conflict without harming the attacker. Children find that aikido helps them learn to get along, build self confidence, develop focus, good manners, and calmness. Training develops physical coordination and balance as children run, roll, jump, and fall. For ages 7+.

El aikido es el único arte marcial que busca resolver los conflictos sin dañar al atacante. Los niños descubren que el aikido les ayuda a aprender a llevarse bien, a ganar confianza en sí mismos, a desarrollar la concentración, los buenos comportamientos y la calma. El entrenamiento desarrolla la coordinación física y el equilibrio cuando los niños corren, ruedan, saltan y se caen.

Grades 1-3
Wednesdays 3:15 – 4:30 p.m.
Session 1: September 16 – October 14 – $75 for 5 weeks

Grades 4-6
Wednesdays 3:15 – 4:30 p.m.
Session 2: October 21 – December 9 (no class 11/11 and 11/25) – $90 for 6 weeks

A multimedia art program for children. We will explore creative practice through puppets, cyanotypes, banners, nature journaling, and more! We prioritize expression, fun, safety, and curiosity. 

West Marin School students may take the school bus at 3:15 to the Dance Palace. Students must be picked up from the Dance Palace after class at 4:30 p.m. by parents/guardians/designated pick-up person.

This class is taught in English. Full registration is required, no drop ins. Scholarships are available on the registration page.

Un programa de arte multimedia para niños. ¡Exploraremos la práctica creativa a través de títeres, cianotipos, pancartas, diarios de la naturaleza y mucho más! Priorizamos la expresión, la diversión, la seguridad y la curiosidad.

Los alumnos de West Marin School pueden tomar el autobús escolar a las 3:15 p. m. para ir al Dance Palace. Los padres, tutores o la persona designada para recogerlos deben recoger a los alumnos en el Dance Palace después de la clase, a las 4:30 p. m.

Esta clase se imparte en inglés. Se requiere inscripción completa; no se admiten alumnos sin inscripción previa. Las becas están disponibles en la página de inscripción.

Sesión 1: 3:15-4:30, 5 semanas, del 16 de septiembre al 24 de octubre – $75 por 5 semanas
Grados 1.º a 3.º

Sesión 2: 3:15 – 4:30, 6 semanas, del 21 de octubre al 9 de diciembre (no hay clase el 11 y el 25 de noviembre) – $90 por 6 semanas

Ballet Folklórico

¡Bailemos! Join us in the beautiful world of Ballet Folklórico, where the next generation of dancers will learn the tradition, technique, and history of Mexican folkloric dance. Instructors from Ensambles Ballet Folklórico de San Francisco bring over 20 years of experience dancing the artistry and traditions of Nuestros Paisanos. Together, we will work on the fundamentals of footwork (zapateado), rhythm (ritmo), skirtwork (faldeo), and choreography (coreografia) from the many regions of Mexico. We’re so excited to dance with you!

Session 1: September 10 – October 8
Session 2: October 22 – December 10 (no class 11/26 and 12/3)

Free, but registration for the complete session is required. There are no drop-ins allowed and consistent attendance is required for each session of this free program.

Learning Together

A FREE developmental playgroup for children 0-3 years of age and their parents, caregivers and families. Provided by a partnership between the Dance Palace and Parent Services Project.

Come together to play, learn and prepare your child for success in school and life with intentional, developmentally-appropriate learning experiences. Through these experiences, your child will be using language to communicate with peers and family members, build connections, friendships and you will grow a circle of mutual support among others with young children.
