This year’s symposium “Relationships of Change” will explore the interdependence of people, policy, and materials to empower a sustainable textile transformation in our world. Every choice we make when purchasing clothes wields the power to influence the environment, local economies, and the safety and livelihoods of workers. Fibershed is deeply committed to supporting small and underrepresented growers and producers. In the Symposium you’ll learn how our regional fibershed economies can be an entry point for environmental justice and economic equity and hear stories of regional fiber economies emerging throughout the world.
New this year is Fibershed Learning Activities Showcase which will feature a range of hands-on educational activities for families and fiber enthusiasts. Additional goods will be available online from our Fibershed farmers, artisans, weavers, felters, knitters, mills and natural dyers.
