Patrick Landeza & Sons – Hawaiian Holiday Concert – IN PERSON & Livestream

November 19, 2021 by Chris Grace

December 18, 2021 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm PST

Proof of vaccination is required for all attendees; masks will be required indoors.  Pre-sale tickets only; no tickets available at the door. Streaming ticket sales will end 30 minutes before the start of the show.

The balmy sounds of aloha melt the winter chill when Patrick Landeza & Sons kick off the season with their Hawaiian Holiday Concert! The Hawaiian Holiday show blends heart-warming stories of aloha, Hawaiian Slack Key and Steel Guitar as well as traditional Hawaiian and holiday classics. Accompanied by his two sons, Patrick is excited to return back to the Dance Palace for this special show!

The Dance Palace is proud to present this event, and welcome Patrick back to the Point Reyes Station. This special event will offer an opportunity for a limited live audience, and a livestream option.

Two 45-minute sets, with an intemission. Live audience ticket price includes an individually wrapped dessert and beverage during intermission.

In the Spirit of Aloha, and with the sincere wish to bring the community back during this holiday season, Patrick wishes to offer this special ticket pricing as a tribute to his “amazing memories of the area and the people.”

About Patrick Landeza

Patrick Kahakauwila Kamaholelani Landeza was born and raised in Berkeley, California, to Hawaii-born parents. Surrounded by music his entire life, he learned guitar as a teenager by observing his Uncles at backyard family gatherings. Later, he went on to study with Slack Key royalty, including Raymond Kane, Cyril Pahinui, George Kuo, and Dennis Kamakahi. A veteran musician, composer, and producer, Landeza earned a Nā Hōkū Hanohano award (the first musician from the mainland) for his 2013 “Slack Key Huaka’i,” which won for Best Slack Key Album of the Year. In 2019, Landeza won the Nā Hōkū Hanohano Ki Ho’alu Foundation Legacy Award, an honor that represents Hawaiian Slack Key music’s lifetime achievement. He joins his mentors Dennis Kamakahi and the late Cyril Pahinui, in receiving this award. This past October 2021, Landeza made Hawaiian music history when he received his second Nā Hōkū Hanohano award (considerd the Hawaiian Grammy) for Best Slack Key Album of the Year. The album “Far Away” is a tribute to his mentor, the late Dennis Kamakhi and mother Frances Kawaipulou Kuakini of Ho`olehua, Moloka`i.

Landeza is in his 27th year in education and currently teaches at Moreau Catholic High School in Hayward, CA.
