The Dance Palace presents Contemplative Dance Practice with Aura Fischbeck
Cash or check at the door
About Contemplative Dance Practice:
CDP combines sitting meditation practice with improvisational movement practice, offering “a place to observe and research, alone and together.” and the possibility of “synchronizing body and mind.” It is designed to be accessible to anyone and simply asks for a willingness to be present and attentive to meeting each moment as it arises. Please bring a yoga block, meditation cushion, blanket or bolster for sitting. You may also wish to have something to write with and on.
Aura Fischbeck is a San Francisco-based dance artist, movement educator, and writer. She creates performance events which investigate and communicate the body’s intelligence and reflect the complexity of a contemporary human experience. She holds a BA from the Naropa University (Boulder) and recently completed an MFA from the University of the Arts (Philadelphia).
For more information, please contact Claire Burns, Performing Arts Coordinator.
Masks encouraged.
