West Marin bodyworker, yoga and Pilates instructor Lorraine Fisher-Smith guides the early morning Pilates class.
Pilates builds a strong core to promote good posture and prevent injury, and this class brings a focus on that strength for its practical application to our daily lives. Along with core, students learn how to isolate lesser-known muscles in exercises for a more well-rounded and balanced strength. Movements are deliberate and intentional, and students will give them the time they need.
Lorraine enjoys sharing her knowledge of anatomy and understanding of common injuries throughout her teaching. All classes are safe for osteoporosis.
