The Gruffalo – Rehearsals*

October 15, 2025 @ 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm PDT

Rebecca Martin brings a new children’s production to life! More information coming!

*This class is a private rental taking place at the Dance Palace. Please contact the organizer for information regarding this program, including registration, fees, and the performances.

This year the Little Ones’ Fall Play will be The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson. (In years past, the performance was “The Mitten”). If you don’t know The Gruffalo yet, it’s an adorable story about courage and creativity. A clever little mouse takes a stroll through the dark wood. Along the way, the mouse meets a hungry fox, owl, and snake. The mouse avoids danger by inventing a fearsome creature called “the Gruffalo” to scare off the predators. But when the Gruffalo turns out to be REAL, the mouse must use quick thinking and bravery to outsmart him too! It’s a tale full of imagination, courage, and the power of wit over strength.

This year will be EXTRA special as there are more speaking roles (Lead Mice, Lead Owl, Lead Fox, Lead Snake) MANY Forest Creatures (snakes, owls, foxes PLUS). Auditions for the speaking roles will be the first day so we ENCOURAGE old and young kiddos to TRY OUT. Kids will help to paint and build sets as well as sew and transform costumes. Opportunities for Directors Assistant as well as Backstage Manager are available! During the performance there will be Live music by Amber Hines and a surprise guest performer.
