Near Miss:The Survival of a Shark Man

April 19, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm PDT

An unforgettable evening of live storytelling and a film screening of Near Miss. This short documentary film, produced and shot entirely in the ocean waters off Point Reyes, is a poetic story about an urchin diver who is at peace with the incredible risks that he takes. Local diver Ron Elliott has been diving at the Farallon Islands for decades. He has filmed some of the most spectacular encounters with great white sharks that have every been recorded.
This very special event will begin with live storytelling by the great Ane Carla Rovetta and other storytelling guests. The film will be followed by a moderated question and answer session with the filmmakers, West Marin locals Josh Berry (director) and Ron Elliott (underwater cinematographer).
Doors open at 6:30pm.
Show begins at 7pm.
