Marla Pederson: Threads of Comfort – Dance Palace Lobby Artist for May 2026

Threads of Comfort is a series of mixed media artwork created to illuminate the experience and processes of grief, something so universal yet seemingly taboo in our culture. The work gives voice to the words we long to hear in times of need, seeking comfort, but are often unspoken or simply not enough. Using colors, fabrics, and threads, the viewer will be taken on a visual storytelling journey about the power of vulnerability, community, and healing.
