A workshop in Action Theater for anyone curious to explore this form of physical theater improvisation. Claire Peaslee has studied and performed Action Theater for a good long time and constantly finds delight and surprise in the practice. We start by thoroughly inhabiting our bodies; then explore shapes and rhythms in the environment; play with a range of vocal sounding, including language; and use fun and challenging exercises to collaborate with fellow improvisers. Appropriate for many body types and skill levels, from novice to those with practice in this or other forms of improvisation.
Sliding scale $60 to $90.
