Community Cultural Center
The Sacred in the Land. A day-long gathering on the meaning of pilgrimage within the religious, sacred, historical, political, cultural, and racial contexts of our times. The event that day includes presentations and conversations with writers, filmmakers, activists, and Native American leaders plus songs, storytelling, a history of pilgrimage traditions around the world, and illumination of the ways pilgrimage can be a form of social activism. An optional community pilgrimage walk for attendees will take place on Sunday morning, March 17. Presented by Black Mountain Circle.
