December Art Reception: Richard Lang and Judith Selby Lang – What goes ’round…

Since 1999, Richard Lang and Judith Selby Lang, as a collaborative team, have been visiting Kehoe Beach in the Point Reyes National Seashore in Northern California. From this one beach they have collected over two tons of material. By carefully collecting and “curating” the bits of plastic, they fashion it into works of art— art that matter-of-factly shows, with minimal artifice, the material as it is.
During the reception for What goes ‘round… we will set a table with beach plastic and invite guests to find the shapes and sizes that speak to them, then arrange the pieces into wreaths, or abstractions, or whatever they wish.
Their art will be on display in the lobby gallery in December.
