Artist Statement
Inspiration for my artwork comes from current events and my experience
of the world around me. I use a variety of techniques to express my
concerns for political, global, feminist and personal issues. The
immigration crisis inspired me to create large crosses about immigrants
crossing the Mexican-US border. Recent work highlights the most
endangered rivers of the world. I often use the form of a dress and maps in
my work to convey a message. My love of fiber and stitching is evident in
my work.
Opening Reception: Sunday, December 15, 12:30pm – 2:30pm
