Persia, bordering Central Asia and the Middle East, is the home of Classical Persian Dance.  Fluid yet rhythmic, this dance style emphasizes movement of hands and wrists, and coordination of arms and legs, while harmonizing foot patterns with Persian music.  Featuring colorful costumes, there are six short dances connected together via very short narration. In the interactive part of the program, students learn some movement, then the story dance happens, and at the end volunteer students join the dance and do the movement they learned.
