Private Rentals
The Dance Palace is available on Sundays only for full day private events such as weddings, receptions, dances, meetings & dinners.
The Dance Palace is also available weekend days for private events,
conferences, workshops, & retreats.
These rates updated March 2008 and are subject to change at any time.
Rates For Sunday Full Day Private Functions (members receive a 20% discount on rental fees):
Main Hall
- $1725 rental fee
- $600 cleaning/damage deposit
- $150 cancellation fee
- $300 memorial service
Church Space
- $925 fee
- $400 cleaning/damage deposit
- $75 cancellation fee
- $150 memorial service
Equipment Available:
- Chairs(Main hall 160 padded stacking chairs, church space 50 padded folding chairs)
- Folding tables (Main hall: six 8’ tables, three 6’, Church Space: two 8’ tables, 1 6’ table)
- Cassette & CD player
- Kitchen includes: electric stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee-makers
Terms:
- Full Day Private Party rental on Sundays from noon to 11 p.m. only. No deliveries may be made prior to that time, and no equipment should be left in the building after that time.

All entertainment must be inside the building, and end by 11 p.m.
- All users must contract for basic services with our Dance Palace-approved event coordinator/consultant Jerry Lunsford (415-497-7853). A copy of the signed contract is required to confirm your rental.
- Maximum number of people in church space is 75; maximum number of people in main space is 150
- Full fee plus cleaning deposit is necessary to confirm date.
- No refunds less than 60 days prior to event. All cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee.
- You will be charged for any and all damages to the building or equipment, including costs over and above the cleaning/damage deposit.
- Your cleaning/damage deposit will not be returned if you exceed the maximum load limit as stated above.
- You must provide proof of liability insurance for the event (one day event liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 with Dance Palace named as additional insured). Contact 1-800-ENGAGED.
- You must hire our approved janitor, Nancy Shine (669-7442) to clean the building thoroughly after your event. A copy of the signed contract is required to confirm your rental
- You must provide us with name and phone number of your caterer.
- You are totally responsible for disposal of your garbage.
- Use of outdoor space cannot be exclusive.
- The following equipment is not available for use: theater lighting, performance sound system,
piano, disco ball.
- You may not have access to the tech loft for any purpose.
- The Dance Palace kitchen is not a commercial kitchen, and may not be used for
commercial cooking purposes
- Absolutely no candles, smoking, or open flames in the building
- All spaces will be in clean and proper order when you arrive. You are expected to leave the space in the same condition, with everything put away in the designated place. Failure to do so may result in your cleaning/damage deposit not being returned.

Rates For Private Functions
Saturday or Sunday daytime use (8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. - must be out of the building no later than 5 p.m.)
Main Hall
- $1150 fee
- $600 cleaning/damage deposit
- $150 cancellation fee

Church Space
- $700 fee (or $245 for maximum of 4 hours)
- $400 cleaning/damage deposit
- $75 cancellation fee
- $150 memorial service
Equipment Available: same as above
Terms: same as above with the following changes:
- Half Day Private Party rental on Saturdays or Sundays until 5 p.m. only. No deliveries may be made
prior to that time, and no equipment should be left in the building after that time.
- All entertainment must be inside the building, and end by 5 p.m.
