“Geezer"  “What a drag it is getting old” – Mick Jagger / Keith Richards.
And then you die! Funny really, as Geoff Hoyle’s 75-minute exploration of what it’s like to grow old and face mortality hopes to show. Using his trademark physical comedy in a series of hilarious and sometimes wistful ruminations, he takes the measure of a life of performing, parenting and parody in what he calls “a coming of age story.” Featuring laughs for the terminally human and live music for the already dead.

From a hysterical riff on life in a nursing home to The Venerable Bede’s meditations on the meaning of life, from delightful reminisces of his youth in England and young manhood in America to ruminations on aging and mortality, Hoyle brings his irrepressible sense of comedy and trademark physicality, as well as a certain elegiac wistfulness, to this tour-de-force performance about what it is like to grow old.
