03/20/2018 - 9:00am
Part of the 2017-2018 Performances for the Schools Series - Presented for West Marin School Students
Students are introduced the amazing music, dance and art of Flamenco. Born from the communities of Andalucia, Spain, students experience different palos, or rhythms, of songs and dance from this vibrant living tradition. Although today many of the dances are performed socially or in theatrical arenas, these forms are also steeped in deep cultural and spiritual significance, inspiring students in learning about new and diverse art traditions from around the world.
